Dog Classes
The classes I teach are all through PetSmart.

We use Positive Reinforcement Training Methods. In order to participate in any class, a dog must be up-to-date on Distemper vaccine and Rabies vaccine; Bordetella vaccine is highly recommended.
Children are welcome, but must be able to handle sitting cooperatively for 15 minutes at a time and must not be left unattended in the store.

Potty and Crate Training Class
No prerequisites, for dogs of all ages. In this one-hour seminar “just for pet parents,” you’ll learn how to potty train your best buddy. We’ll also cover household manners and additional topics relevant to new pet parents. No dogs required, by appointment only.
Puppy Class MORE
No prerequisites, for dogs 10 weeks to 5 months of age. This is a 1-hour weekly course that meets for 8 weeks, designed to teach you to get the attention of your dog and have him/her follow basic commands. Combination of behavioral instruction with you and your dog, and presentation of materials to pet parents. (Same content as “Beginner Dog Class,” which is described below for older dogs.) MORE
Beginner Dog Class MORE
No prerequisites, for dogs older than 5 months of age. This is a 1-hour weekly course that meets for 8 weeks, designed to teach you to get the attention of your dog and have him/her follow basic commands. Combination of behavioral instruction with you and your dog, and presentation of materials to pet parents. (Same content as “Puppy Class,” which is described above for younger dogs.) MORE
Intermediate Dog Class MORE
Prerequisite: Your dog must have satisfactorily completed a “Puppy” and/or “Beginner” Class, for dogs of any age. This is a 1-hour weekly course that meets for 8 weeks, designed to teach you to maintain control over your dog in more distracting situations and follow commands outside of his/her basic home environment. All behavioral instruction with you and your dog (no lecture content). MORE
Advanced Dog Class MORE
Prerequisite: Your dog must have satisfactorily completed an “Intermediate,” for dogs of any age. This is a 1-hour weekly course that meets for 6 weeks, designed to teach you to maintain control over your dog in a variety of often challenging situations, such as interacting with other dogs, heeling through a crowd, and major distractions. Advanced Training Classes prepare your dog to test for the “Canine Good Citizenship Certification and Therapy Dog Certification” All behavioral instruction with you and your dog (no lecture content). Private Dog Training
No prerequisites, for dogs as young as 10 weeks of age. These are one-on-one sessions where I work just with you and your dog, focusing on any issue where you’d like to see improvement; as many or as few sessions as you’d like. Scheduling is flexible, with 1-hour (minimum) time slots often available for booking the same week.
